Lillian Ruth Bradshaw formerly of Lavalette

Lillian Ruth Bradshaw, 82, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Lavalette, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Angel Care Assisted Living Facility, St. Petersburg. She passed quietly with her children around her. Ruth was born November 29, 1928 in Logan Co., W.Va., a daughter of the late Rufus Workman and Martha Jane McClellan. Her husband James Bradshaw also preceded her in death, along with one son, Tom C. Coleman IV, one brother Harold Workman, and one sister, Marie Currie. She is survived by two sons, Robert Coleman and wife Fina of Lavalette, W.Va. and Phillip Maynard and wife Erin of Wayne; and three daughters, Virginia Ramey and husband James of Wayne, Melanie Coleman-Simon and husband Sheldon of Tierra Verde, Fla., and Susan Martin and husband Ross of Suwanee, Ga.; Ruth enjoyed being a part of the special occasions of her big family, including 12 grandchildren, Chris Coleman and wife Heather of Johnson City, Tenn., Elizabeth Ramey-Slagel and husband Robert of Ironton, Oh., Linda Ramey Goad and husband Charles of Ona, W.Va., Bradley Martin of Suwanee, Ga., Brian Ramey of Wayne, David Coleman and Hannah Coleman, both of Lavalette, Luke Maynard and Olivia Maynard, both of Wayne, Derek Coleman, Shannon Coleman, and Lauren Coleman, all of Roanake, Va., and four great-grandchildren, Mason Slagel, Georgia Slagel, and Lilly Kate Slagel, all of Ironton, and Grant Goad of Ona. She was interested in politics and current events and stayed up to date on what was happening in the world. Her mind was alert and she loved to solve word puzzles and play board games. The last 18 months, Ruth spent with her daughter in Florida where she sat in the sunshine and made many sweet friends. We loved her. We will miss her. Rest now, Mom. Private graveside services will be held for the family at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Logan, W.Va. Johnson Tiller Funeral Home, Wayne, W.Va. is honored to serve the Bradshaw Family.
