Julia Kitts Potter of Lavalette
Julia Kitts Potter, 89, of Lavalette, WV, went to be with the Lord January 2, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, January 4, 2012 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Kitts. Burial will follow at Kitts Cemetery, Fort Gay, WV. She was born April 16, 1922 in Fort Gay, WV, a daughter of Harvey and Cuzzie Smith Kitts. Julia was a homemaker and member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband of 53 years, George Ray Potter also preceded her in death, along with three sisters, Garnett, Mary and Noana, as well as eight brothers, Sid, John, Harvey, Arthur, Hence, Luther, Wayne and Chester. Survivors include three sons, Johnie Ray Potter and wife, Charlotte of Nicholasville, KY, Gale Oakley Potter and wife, Judy of White Lake, MI, Greg Potter and wife, Joan of Fort Gay, WV; six grandchildren, Sheila Carroll, Donna Potter, Tammi Elford, Stephanie Moss, Jamie Potter and Johnie Lee Potter; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Wednesday, January 3, 2011 at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, WV.
