James Robert "Jim Bob" Hardwick of Fort Gay
James Robert “Jim Bob” Hardwick, 87, of Fort Gay, W.Va. passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home. He was born August 14, 1925 in Fort Gay, W.Va. a son of the late Ed and Francis Crum Hardwick. He was a retired foreman for Inco Alloys, he was a United States Amry Veteran, he was a member for 64 years of the Vinson Lodge #66 and was a past Master, he was a 33 degree of the Ancient and Accepted of the Scottish Rite in the Valley of Huntington, member of El Hasa Shriners of Ashland, Ky, Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 160, past member Board of Directors of Wayne Co. Solid Waste, Past member of Fort Gay Lions Club, Member of the Fort Gay Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Ruby Osborne Hardwick of Fort Gay, W.Va.; one daughter, Gertie Francis Friend of PA.; two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ric Frazier officiating. Burial followed at Greenlawn Cemetery, Louisa. Visitation was 6:00 til 9:00 PM Monday at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
