Charlene Thompson Jackson of Genoa

Charlene Thompson Jackson, 67, of Genoa, WV, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa, KY. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, by Pastor Tom Kitts. Burial will follow at the Thompson Cemetery on Mill Creek, Genoa, WV. She was born November 1, 1942 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Oscar Brian and Ruby Alice Stickler Harvey. She was a homemaker and member of the Rush Branch Church. Her husbands, John Bill Thompson and John Jackson, a sister, Joann Watkins, a grandson, John Bill Thompson, III, and a great-grandson, MacCager DeLong also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Wilson and husband, Sidney, Jr. of Genoa, WV, five sons, Mickey Joe Thompson and wife, Diana, James West Thompson and wife, Clintona, Rudolph Thompson and wife, Tamara, and Daniel Dale Thompson, all of Genoa, WV, and David Brian Thompson and wife, Marilu of Clarksville, TN; a step-daughter, Delcie Mae Thompson of Cleveland, OH; a step-son, John Bill Thompson, Jr. of Cleveland, OH; three sisters, Jean Watkins of Lebanon, TN, Jackie Bailey and husband, Ronald of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Jeanette Artrip and husband, Billy Wayne of Louisa, KY; a brother, Ron Harvey of South Point, OH; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6-9 p. m. Saturday at Morris Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kingston and the Three River’s staff for being so kind to Mom.
