Delbert Clarence Carter of Genoa

Delbert Clarence Carter, 72, of Genoa, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church at Genoa, WV, with Pastor Buck Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at the Smith Cemetery at Genoa. He was born September 27, 1939 at Wayne, WV, a son of the late Clarence and Blanche Kenney Carter. Three sisters, Norma Jean Parsons, Virginia Pauley, and Marie Smells, and four brothers, Melvin, Marvin, John and Glen Carter also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Loretta Lucille Christian Carter; two daughters, Pamela (Sidney) Jordan of Genoa, WV, and Angela Carter of Wayne, WV; a son, Clarence Dwayne (Tamara) Christian of Genoa, WV; 8 grandchildren, Dustin Carter, Aaron Jordan, Amber Jordan, Sarah Jordan, Brenda Christian, Clarence Christian, Jr., Ford Christian, and Delcie Carter; and two special friends, Bonnie Roseberry Adkins and Rebecca Berry.
