James Farley of Huntington
James Farley, 86, of Huntington, formerly of Delbarton, WVa., died Saturday March 26, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House in Hungtington. He was born March 12, 1925 in Delbarton to the late John and Ida Mae Stepp Farley. James was a naval veteran of the South Pacific in WWII and enjoyed a long career in the coal industry. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Patricia Hunter Farley, with whom he is now reunited. Also preceding him in death were seven brothers: Earl, Floyd, Frank, Jeff, Jesse, Howard, and Rush; two sisters, Nancy Jarrell, of Mt. Morris, PA, and Mamie Farley, of Delbarton. He is survived by his only son, Greg Farley and wife, Shauna, of Lavalette, two daughters, Katherine Snyder and husband, John, of Marlington, WVa., and Judith Ann Farley of Huntington, sister Cinda Diegleman of Barboursville, step-brother Eugene Queen and wife, Joan, of Florida, sisters-in-law Millie Farley and Betty Ditty of Delbarton and Ruth Farley of Huntington; grandchildren Aaron Farley, James Colton Farley, Greg Hunter Farley, Adam West, Bryan Snyder, Amanda Jacobal and Katie Sheldon, step-granddaughter Meagan Shepherd and seven great-grand children. We regret friends, neighbors and extended family were not provided an opportunity to view or attend services. Burial by Beard Mortuary of Huntington at Bethel Ridge Cemetery at Blackfork, Ohio was held on March 29, 2011.
