Everett "Bud" Salmons of Dunlow

Everett “Bud” Salmons, 77, of Dunlow, WV, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9. 2011 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, by Pastor Earl White, Brother Ray Taylor and Pastor Luther Dingess. Burial will follow at the Robinson Cemetery on Ferguson Branch. He was born December 17, 1933 at Dunlow, a son of the late Elias and Edna Skaggs Salmons. Bud was a retired construction laborer and member of Laborer’s Local 543 and operating engineers. He was also a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Macedonia Free Baptist Church where he taught bible study. His first wife, Eva Lovins Salmons , sisters Frances Marie and Betty Marcum, and brothers Charles, Edgar Allen and Vernie Herman also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mary Marcum Salmons; his children, Charles Jervis (Brenda) of Rittman, OH, James Jervis (Donna) of Dunlow, WV, Mary Lou Starr (Danny) of Wayne, WV, Jerry Salmons (Lora) of Wayne, WV, Edna White of South Point, OH, Bruce Salmons (Barbie) of Genoa, WV, Zelma Robertson (Beecher) of Dunlow, WV, Edna Barker (Walter) of Hatfield, KY; three sisters, Carolyn Sue Robinette of Florida, Sharon Kay Robinson of Dunlow, WV, and Patricia Caffee of Birmingham, Al; a brother, Donnie Salmons of Dunlow, WV; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and other family who will all miss him very much. Visitation will be at Morris Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday with evening services beginning at 7:00 p.m. both evenings
