Glenn Robert Booth of Huntington
Glenn Robert Booth, 85, of Huntington, WV, passed away peacefully Friday, April 6, 2012 at Huntington Hospice House following a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted noon Monday, April 9, 2012 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jake Steele. Friends called one hour prior to services. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery. He was born September 14, 1926 in Wayne, WV, a son of the late Randolph and Ida Mae Booth. Glenn was a seaman 1st class in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He owned several businesses which included, Booth Brothers Hardware, Wayne, WV, Frisch’s Big Boy, Marietta, OH, Tradewell Super Market, Huntington, WV, and Stewart’s Drive-In, Chesapeake, OH. Glenn had a great love of learning, nature, flying, golfing, and especially for his family and friends. His grandson, Robert Michael “Tucker” Medcalf also preceded him in death, along with his former wife, Karen Booth; a son Scott Booth; four brothers, Roy, John, Randolph, Arthur; sisters, Thelma, Ardella, Bertha, Estelle. Survivors include his former wife, Jean Sowards; three sons, Greg Booth and wife, Terri of Huntington, WV; Phillip Booth and wife, Debbie of Burbank, CA; Jeff Booth of Huntington, WV; four grandchildren, Joshua Booth and wife, Debbie, Carri Medcalf and husband, Brad, Adam Booth and Leah Booth; four great-grandchildren, Savannah and Brianna Booth, Hudson and McClellen Medcalf; two special friends, Michelle Richardson Heckman and Michael Richardson.
