Amos Bryan "Peeps" Maynard of formerly of Ceredo
Amos Bryan “Peeps” Maynard, 52, of South Point, Ohio, formerly of Ceredo, W.Va., passed away suddenly Sunday, April 29, 2012, in Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Kenova United Methodist Church, with Rev. Scott Byard officiating, assisted by Rev. Jim Richards. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Bryan was born July 4, 1959, in Louisa, Ky., son of Amos K. and Ailene J. Gilliam Maynard of Ceredo. He was a Cable Service Technician for Armstrong Utilities with 28 years of service. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Lee Maynard, a sister, Patricia K. Blair and father-in-law, James W. Keyser. Survivors include wife Cindy, the love of his life for 32 years; two beautiful daughters, Brittany Marie Maynard (Jackie Hale) and Brianna Paige (Cory) Patrick, and his precious grandson Brycen Shelby McCann, all of South Point, Ohio; sisters Karen (Herman) Robertson and Robyn Smith of Kenova; Bev (Mike) Edwards of Ceredo; brothers-in-law James Dale (Amy) Keyser of Huntington, W.Va., and George W. Keyser of Oak Harbor, Ohio; sister-in-law Candy (Thom) Keyser Reed of Lafayette, Ind; mother-in-law Marieatha Keyser of Oak Harbor, Ohio and a host of special nieces, nephews and friends. One of Bryan’s greatest joys was spending time with his grandson Brycen, and watching him excel in football, basketball and baseball. Bryan was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying golfing, hunting, fishing and hiking. He was a great fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns, and Marshall University sports, as well as NASCAR racing. Many enjoyed Bryan’s culinary talents, one of his favorite hobbies. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Kenova United Methodist Church.
