Arzel McCommas of East Lynn

Arzel Mccomas of East Lynn, W.Va., at the age of 71 went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2011. He was born February 8, 1940 a son of the late Golden and Wanda (Gilkerson) McComas. Two brothers, Argie and Arben also preceded him in death, along with sister, Ardith Epling, and one infant sister. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Bertie Lou (Patrick) McComas; three children, Delinda McComas still at home, Arzil “Buzzy” McComas of East Lynn, and Debra Salmons and husband Robert of West Hamlin, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Jessica Eplin, Alex “Little Man” McComas, Bethany McComas, and Amanda Salmons; and one great grandchild, Annabelle Eplin. Also surviving are two brothers, Arden McComas and Arton McComas; and three sisters, Mary Ann McComas, Linda McComas, and Sandra Salmons. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the doctors and nurses on 5 North at Cabell Huntington Hospital who took care of Arzel. Also, thank you to good friend Clifford Shelton for all he did for the family, to everyone who donated food, money, or your special thoughts and prayers, and to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home for their care and support during our time of loss. Everyone’s kindness and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastors Eddie McComas and Jason McComas officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
