Bonnie Johnson Hall of Huntington

Bonnie Johnson Hall, 79, of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, by Pastor Tim Jayne. Burial followed at the Christian Cemetery on Big Hurricane. She was born August 29, 1931 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Ezra E. and Adah Gilkison Johnson. She was a retired school teacher of 27 years, having taught in Wayne County, West Virginia and Putnam County, Florida. She was a member of the Philadelphia United Baptist Church in Lavalette, WV. Her brothers, Eldon Johnson and Howard Johnson, also preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of over 58 years, Ray Edward Hall; three daughters, Janeen Reynolds and husband, Steven, and Naomi Dunn and husband, Mike, all of Kenova, WV, and Darlene Lakin and husband, Marc of Cocoa, FL; two sisters, Joyce Pauley and husband, William of Lavalette, WV, and Janet Ferguson and husband, Perry of West Union, WV ; two brothers, Keith Johnson and wife, Mary of Lavalette, WV, and Ivan Johnson and wife, Devetta of Wayne, WV; six grandchildren, Seth (Lisa)Lakin, Luke Lakin, Chris (Kellie) Reynolds, Corey (Stephanie) Reynolds, Shane Dunn, and Shannon Dunn; and two great-grandchildren, Payton and Jaxon Lakin, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to her caregivers, Naomi Hall, Nicole Johnson, Sherri Harris, Chris Searls and Lynn Davis. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington at P.O. Box 660, Wayne, WV 25570. Friends called one hour prior to service time Monday at Morris Funeral Home.
