Doris Marie Jude of Prichard

Doris Marie Jude, 66, of Prichard, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 29, 2011. She was born August 19, 1944 in Neal, W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry and Reba Hatten. Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death. Doris was a homemaker and a member of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution and also the Wayne County Genealogical Society. She leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Claude Jude; three daughters, Gloria Carter and husband Henry of South Carolina, Beverly Grant and husband Everett of Prichard, and Carolyn Williamson and husband Patrick of Louisa, Ky.; one son, Claude Monroe Jude and wife Pamela of Kermit, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Henry Jude and wife Jennifer of Fort Gay, W.Va., Candace Jude of South Carolina, Taylor Grant and Alyssa Grant, both of Prichard, David Grant of Ashland, Ky., Jessica Patrick and Emily Patrick, both of Louisa, and Laree Hodge of Kermit; and seven great grandchildren, Kylea, Mikayla, Kendalyn, Danica, Madison, Hayden, and Damon. Also surviving are two sisters, Beaulah Chaunalt of Columbus, Oh., and Carol Lambert of Wooster, Oh.; and two brothers, Glen Hatten and wife Jan of Seattle, Washington, and Clifford Hatten and wife Edna of Prichard. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatten Cemetery, Prichard. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
