Kristen Haley Stiltner of Wayne

Kristen Haley Stiltner, 17, of Wayne, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Arbie Rice Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, WV. She was born on September 17, 1994, a daughter of Dwayne and Traci Kelly Stiltner of Wayne, WV. She attended Wayne High School where she just completed her junior year. She was an extraordinary athlete, very caring for those with special needs, the elderly, and tried to help and counsel with anyone hurting or with problems. She held the record for Girls’ Basketball team at Wayne High School, for most points scored in a game (37 points in one game). She was president of HOSA and captain of the volleyball and basketball team. She was a leader in everything she was involved in and made great accomplishments with very little effort. There aren’t enough words to explain her very extraordinary and versatile personality. She has left a deep hole in the hearts of her family and this community. Kristen was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Wayne Stiltner. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother Kolby Wayne Stiltner, maternal grandparents Glen Kelly (Pap) and Dona Kelly (Grandmom), her great grandmother Eula Ramey (Mamaw), Aunt and Uncle Staci & Chris Adkins (second parents) and a very special cousin Nicholas Glen Adkins that was thought of as her brother. Her Pap and she had a bond and love for each other that is unexplainable. She also thought of her Aunt Staci and Grandmom as a mother. She is also survived by a host of very special aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews, a host of special friends, especially Harry and Jacqueline Sowards, Jennifer and Toney Atkins and Krista Merritt, Eric Pack. Kristen’s very special friends were Rebecca Langdon, Tyler Adkins and Tasha Maynard. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV.
