Noah E. Marcum formerly of Wayne County

Noah E. Marcum, formerly of Wayne County, was born March 13, 1921, in Logan, West Virginia, to Andrew Jackson and Melinda (Damron) Marcum. He died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his home in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years. Noah was reared and educated in Logan, West Virginia, before entering the armed forces. He served his country honorably during World War II with the United States Army. Throughout his life, Noah was very proud of his service as well as others who had served their country. He was married June 28, 1946, in Palmeroy, Ohio, to Ruth Miller. They had made their home in Collinsville since 1967. He spent most of his working life as an inspector with North American Rockwell in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Noah was strong in his faith and was an active member of Collinsville Christian Church. He was also a member of the Collinsville VFW and was a 33rd Degree Mason with the Collinsville Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including fishing, hunting, and playing his bass guitar. Loving family members include his son and daughter-in-law, Reuben and Linda Marcum of Tulsa. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Collinsville Christian Church with Pastor Joe T. Anglin and Pastor Bob Haywood. Serving as casket bearers will be Joe Anglin, Ron Mixer, Larry Cloyd, Marty Cloyd, Earl Worley, and Shon Buehler. Committal services and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso.
