Charles Leonard Rowe of Genoa

Charles Leonard Rowe, 55, of Genoa, W.Va., passed away following a three year battle with cancer. He was born May 12, 1956 in Wayne County, W.Va., a son of the late Donald Rowe and Lois Ann Russell. One daughter, Amanda Lynn Rowe also preceded him in death. Charles was a truck driver, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of Genoa United Baptist Church. He leaves behind his loving wife, Gaynell Rowe; five sons, James Rowe, James Blackburn, both of Wayne, Michael Rowe of Tenn., Johnn Rowe, and Charles Rowe, Jr., both of Wayne; three daughters, Georgina Rowe, Trista Stapleton, Lekeisha Blackburn, all of Wayne; and 13 grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Randy Russell of Ohio; two sisters, Lisa McComas and Valerie Ferguson, both of East Lynn, W.Va.; stepfather, Harold Holt, also of East Lynn; and a host of friends and family. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Genoa United Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgar Maynard Cemetery, Genoa.
