Ransom Paris Davis of Wayne

Ransom Paris Davis, 92, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 28, 2012. He was a son of the late Leo and Polly Keck Davis. Also preceding him in death was two sons, four brothers, two sisters, and his first wife, Violet Lester Davis. Ransom retired from Connor Steel in Huntington, W.Va. and was a member of the Booten Millers Fork United Baptist Church where he worked as trustee, choir leader, and faithful servant.
Survivors include his wife, Ella; one son, Anes; two daughters, Retha Adkins and Yvonne (Roger) Webb; and one sister, Ola Baker. Also surviving are his loving grandchildren, Renee Adkins, Amy Shoemaker, Kenny Davis, Justin Webb, Kenneth Jr., and James Leo Davis; and seven great grandchildren, Kaydence Shoemaker, Savannah Shoemaker, Harrison Shoemaker, Heather Adkins, Brandy Smith, and Katie Davis.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Booten Millers Fork United Baptist Church with Brothers Jimmy Lester and John Gilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilkerson Family Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
