Roberta Mae Webb Pack of Huntington

Just like a special angel
God wrapped you in His care
And took you off to heaven
To live with him up there;

Roberta Mae Webb Pack, 79, of Huntington, formerly of Kermit, left this earth on the wings of angels to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 14, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice in Huntington. She was born May 18, 1932 in Wayne County to the late Carl and Carrie Terry Webb. She has joined her husband William “Bll” Pack, mom and dad, sisters Mary Jane Jarboe and Gealdine Parrot and great grandson Jacob Messer in Heaven. Roberta attended Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Lavalette and enjoyed reading the Bible, flower gardening, sewing and cooking. She especially loved cooking for large family get-togethers during the holidays. Being a mother was her most precious gift to her family. She was a nurturer, ringleader and friend. She made a house a home and filled her days caring for her family in many ways. Survivors include eight children; William Pack of Lavalette, Juda (Rufus) Waller of Fort Gay, Dr. Yvonne (Flem) Stroud of Huntington, Patricia McCoy of Kermit, Mary (Ron) Fluty of Crum, Robert (Emma Sue) Pack of Kermit, Toby L. (Amy) Pack of Huntington and special son Michael Pack, who mad his home with Roberta; seventeen grandchildren: Shannon Pack, Shelby Pack Crossen, Robin Waller, Jil Daniels, John Stroud, Jennifer Stroud, Matthew McCoy, Brandy McCoy Murphy, Heather Finley, Ron Fluty, Amanda Blair, Mason Pack, McKinley Pack, Toby Pack Jr., Charity Pack, Chase Pack and John Ray Pack. Eight great-grandchildren; Selena McCoy, William McCoy, Johsua Messer, Zachary Messer, Morgan Finley, Mariah Finley, Haley Fluty and Macy Daniels. She is also survived by three sisters; Anita Hood of Apopka Florida, Frances Gilley fo Middletown, OH, and Darlene Troiano of Columbus, OH. Four brothers; Carl Baine Webb of Urbana, OH, John Robert Webb of Circleville, OH, Donald Webb of Apopka Florida and Larry Ray (Jane) Webb of Circleville, OH. The family received friends at Richmond Callahan Funeral Home in Warfield KY on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 6 to 9. A brief church service began at 7. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Riverbend Freewill Baptist Church in Crum with the Rev. Jerome Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery.
