Jerry D. Salmons of Wayne

Jerry D. Salmons, 54, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born December 10, 1956 in Williamson, W.Va., a son of the late “Bud” Salmons and Eva Lovins Salmons. His nephew Davey Tabor also preceded him in death. He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Lora Sue McCoy Salmons; one daughter, Kristie Smith and husband Randy; one son, Matt Salmons and wife Amanda; five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Makayla, Wyatt “Wy-Wy” Smith, and Jacob and Caleb Osborne, all of Wayne. Also surviving are three brothers, Charles Jervis and wife Brenda of Rittman, Oh., Jimbo Jervis and wife Donna of Dunlow, W.Va., Bruce Salmons and Barbie Willis of Genoa, W.Va.; three sisters, Mary Lou Starr and husband Danny of Wayne, Edna White, also of Wayne, and Zelma Robertson and husband Beecher of Dunlow; nine nieces and nephews; special friend Glen Stephens of Wayne; and many other friends and family too numerous to mention. Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Damron officiating. Burial followed in the Robinson Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday.
