Glen Ellis Osburn of Wayne
Glen Ellis Osburn, 90, of Wayne, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Huntington Veterans Affairs Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, by Minister Wyn Baker and Pastor Roger Perry. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery at Wayne. He was born September 19, 1922 at East Lynn, WV, a son of the late Wayne and Eula Tabor Osburn. Glen was a retired salesman for Interstate Bakeries and a member of Chauffeurs, Teamsters and Helpers Local 175. He was a member of the Garrett’s Creek Church of Christ. He also was a combat engineer with the U. S. Army during World War II. His brothers, Earl, Jack and Kenneth Osburn also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Billie Jean Moore Osburn; two sons, Jay Glen (Karen) Osburn of Wayne and Ronnie (Debbie) Osburn of Winter Haven, FL; a brother, Don (Ethel) Osburn of Proctorville, OH; five grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Scott of Charlotte, NC, Parker Osburn of Pompano Beach, FL, Briana (T.J.) Frazier of Wayne, Andrew Osburn and Evan Osburn, both of Winter Haven, FL. Friends may call from noon until service time Monday at Morris Funeral Home.
