Ronald E. (Bud) Scraggs

Ronald E. (Bud) Scraggs passed from this earth October 29, 2012 after a long illness. He was born May 6, 1933 to Oder W. and Grace Blair Scraggs in Allen, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Jesse Scraggs and two brothers-in-law, Roy L. Stitner and Bo Stokes.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, D.J.; daughter, Kelly Scraggs of Ruidoso, NM; son Shawn Scraggs of Sacramento, NM; sisters, Carrie Stiltner of Wayne, WV and Wilma Stokes of Greenville, SC; brother, Clyde Scraggs and wife Kathy of Crawford, CO; granddaughter, Nicole Replogle and husband Mike of Mexico, MO; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bud joined the Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War. He then joined the Air Force and was placed in the newly formed missile squadron and became a missile systems guidance analyst.
He retired in 1972 from Holloman A.F. Base having served 21 ½ years in the military. He then worked for civil engineering at Holloman and retired in 1993. In 1972 they bought the old Telles Homestead in Bent, NM. He spent the next 40 years restoring and building additions to the home which is a living memorial to his love of home and family.
A family memorial service will be held in West Virginia. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to you favorite charity or hospice.
Direct Cremation has taken place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
