John Adams of Genoa
MR. JOHN ADAMS, 72, of Genoa, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 18, 2010. He was born May 13, 1938 in Wayne County, a son of the late Audie and Louisa Adams. Also preceding him in death were four brothers, Jack Adams, Lucian Adams, Virgil Adams, and Norman Adams, and two sisters, Inez Adkins and Della Isaacs. John was a retired plumber and a member of the Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jewell Adams; his children, Donna Adams of Genoa, Pamela Frye and her husband Randy, of Genoa, Amanda Maynard and her husband Kevin of Lavalette, W.Va., John Adams, Jr. and his wife Christy of Genoa, and Michael Adams; seven grandchildren, Candice Daniels and husband Mark, Megan Frye, Beldin Frye, Timothy Thompson, Cody Maynard, Johnathon Adams, and Andrew Adams; six great grandchildren, Katie Frye-Trautwein, John Hunter Daniels, Hayden Daniels, Gavin Daniels, Addison Bowen, and Autumn Bowen.
Also surviving are six sisters, Erie Frazier and husband Paul, Minnie Cochran and husband George, Donna Isaacs and husband Chuck, Rhoda Morton and husband Edward, Sadie Jacobs and husband Troy, and Teresa Clay and husband Robert; and seven brothers, Robert Adams and his wife Nettie, Boyd Adams and his wife Arleda, Orville Adams and wife Shirley, Audie Adams, Jr., and wife Nancy, Sammy Adams and wife Bobbi, Omer Adams and wife Connie, and Sampie Adams and wife Doris; and a host of friends and neighbors too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Rev. Luther Dingess officiating. Burial will follow in the Roscoe Davis Cemetery, Genoa. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
