Robert E. Bolton of Kenova
Robert E. Bolton ,83, of Kenova went to home be with the Lord Saturday December 11, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Robertson officiating. Gravesite rites will be conducted 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Maple Hill Cemetery. Robert was born October 9, 1927 in Forest Hill, WV. son of the late James Dean and Lena Blanche Flanagan Bolton. He was a former production supervisor with Novamont and a veteran having served with the U.S. Marines. Robert was a member of the Spring Valley Presbyterian Church; Buena Vista Lodge No. 60 AF & AM whose members will conduct graveside rites; Whites Creek Chapter No. 159 Order of the Eastern Star; 32nd Degree KCCH in Huntington Scottish Rite Bodies; Disabled American Veterans; American Legion Post No. 93 whose Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites and Huntington Chapter Marine Corp League. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ellen Taylor Bolton and his second wife Joyce Ann Adkins Bolton. Survivors include two sons Robert Eugene Bolton of La Place, Louisiana, James Fred Bolton of Kenova, WV and one step-son Jeffrey Ray Bartram of Huntington, WV; three daughters and two sons-in-law Marsha Bolton Spangler (Ray) of Huntington, WV, Mary Jane Bolton Smith (Kenny) of Huntington, WV. and Deidra Ann Bolton of Kenova, WV. and one step-daughter Alecia Dawn Bartram of Barberton, Ohio. He is also survived by one sister Blanche Olive Malik of Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, one nephew Philip Dean Leftwich of Kenova, WV., two nieces Mary Elizabeth Satina of Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, Cecilia Malik of Bentleyville, Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a foster sister Julia Lynch (Nancy Carroll ) of Pinch, WV. Deidra Bolton would like to especially thank Ray Spangler, Philip D. Leftwich, Jim Bolton and Jennifer Bartram, Mary Jane Smith, Marsha Spangler, Kelsey Bolton, Alexis and Corrine Flowers, my caring neighbors, Dave Lambert, Paulette Ross, Charlie Crank, Robert Wiseman our UPS man, Gary Cooper our paper man, and our mail lady Tammy from Kenova, Randall Robertson, Rob Vickers and all the members of Buena Vista Lodge #60, Mary Ann Steele (PTA), Sabrina Hopson, RN,BSN from Preferred Home Health Care, and a host of family and friends who would call him daily, and the caring team from Home Based Primary Care at the VAMC who all had a hand in helping me care for him.
