Maxine Elain Perry of Genoa

Maxine Elaine Perry, 91, of Genoa, WV, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, by Minister Jesse Perry. Burial will follow at the John Perry Cemetery at Radnor, WV. She was born March 22, 1919 at Grey Eagle, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas and Ida May Fitzpatrick Williamson. She taught school at Lycan’s Ridge Elementary School and was a retired clerk for the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the Genoa Church of Christ and Eastern Star. An infant son, John Thomas Perry, three sisters, Nell Copley, Carrie Puckett, and Thelma Varner, and two brothers, Earsel Williamson and Okey Williamson, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Sword and husband, Larry of Genoa, WV; three sons, Okey Perry and wife, Christene, and Harry “Butch” Perry and wife, Pam, all of Genoa, WV, and Ed Perry and Barb Trogdon of Wayne, WV; a sister, Ruth Marcum of Kentucky; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; a special friend, Carroll Osburn and her caregiver, Monica Perry.
