Farris Thomas Bush of Louisa

Farris Thomas Bush, 73, of Louisa, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at Community Hospice Center in Ashland. He was born November 13, 1938 at Fullers Ridge,Ky., a son of the late Lowman and Hazel Coburn Bush. Farris was a member of the Louisa Freewill Baptist Church, Apperson Lodge, F&A.M. #195, Order of Eastern Star #292, he was a United States Army Veteran, a former member of Regional Jail Board, a Former Chairman of Lawrence County Housing Authority, Foothills Telephone Board of Directors, Scottish Rite of Lexington, American Legion Post 89, Senior Circle, Lawrence County Saddle Club, and the Lawrence County Judicial Planning Committee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Barker; five brothers, Russell Bush, Richard Bush, Cecil Bush, Bill Bush and Ivan Bush. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Bush of Louisa, one son, Tommy Bush of Louisa, four sisters, Garnett Tabor of Cleveland, Marie Moore of Louisa, Louis Stevens of Louisa, Sue Sims of Judson, Indiana; two brothers, Gene Bush of Louisa, Harvy Fitzer of Ashland. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Louisa with Brother Ric Frazier, Rev. Roger Jordan, Rev. Ronnie Childers, Rev. Rick Cordial and Rev. Rick May officiating. Visitation will be 4 - 9 Thursday at Young Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice.
