Golden Noah Chaffin of Kenova

Golden Noah Chaffin, 81, of Kenova, WV died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born August 23, 1930 in Kenova, WV a son of the late Golden Noah Chaffin and Edna Watts. Golden worked for CSX as a conductor for many years. He attended Rt. 60 Freewill Baptist Church. Golden was a member of Kenova Masonic Lodge #110 A.F. & A.M. whose members will conduct graveside rites. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Shannon Chaffin and one daughter, Hannah Slaughter. Golden is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Katherine Chaffin of Ironton, OH; two daughters and one son-in-law, Starla and Tom Kisling of Proctorville, OH and Brenda Lawhorn of Ona, WV; eight grandchildren, Brian (LeAnn) Lawhorn, Anthony Lawhorn, Matthew and Amy Kisling, Whitney, Derek and Kelsey Chaffin and Charlotte Elliott; two great grandchildren, Kyle and Aaron Lawhorn; and a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, WV. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Doug Booton and Pastor Richie Fluty officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
