Clarence Gene “Chumpie” Lucas of East Lynn

Clarence Gene “Chumpie” Lucas, 55, of East Lynn, W.Va., passed away as a result of a car accident on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at East Lynn, W.Va. He was born March 31, 1956 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Collie and Bertha Lucas. Four brothers, Pete, Butch, Bob, and Wilkie Hiat also preceded him in death. He leaves behind his loving companion of 20 years, Darlena Davis of East Lynn; five step-children whom he considered his own, Lonnie Pauley of East Lynn, Pricilla Evan, Missy Bowens, Misty Dawn Adkins, all of Wayne, and Jerry Puskas of East Lynn; five grandchildren, Donald Evans, Layken Evans, Ariana Burns, Gabriel Bowens, and Travis Pauley; and Austin Black and Autumn Isaacs whom he considered his grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Duayne Lucas and his wife Lisa of Huntington, and Orbie Dale Lucas and his wife Lori of Marmet, W.Va.; one sister, Eula Adams and her husband Homer of Proctorville, Oh.; and special nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Otis Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery, Harts, W.Va. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Wednesday.
