James "Jim" Garnett Wellman of Huntington
JAMES "Jim" GARNETT WELLMAN, 76, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. He was born March 23, 1935, in Fort Gay, W.Va., a son of the late Grady and Harriet Skeens Wellman. He was an auto body repairman and was a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers. Survivors include his loving wife Dorothy Wright Wellman of Huntington, W.Va.; two sons, James Kevin (Teresa) Wellman of Huntington, W.Va. and Keith L. (Madonna) Wellman of Prichard, W.Va.; one special grandson Tyler Keith Wellman; two sisters, Wilma Walls of Huntington, W.Va., and Louverne Scott of Proctorville, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Young Funeral Home Chapel in Louisa, Ky., with Pastor Larry Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at the Wellman Cemetery in Fort Gay, W.Va. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Young Funeral Home.
