William Edward Frasher of Fort Gay

William Edward Frasher “Bill”, 77, of Fort Gay, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the home of his son with family at his side. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Brother Roger Maynard, Tommy Damron, Tony Clay and Orville Damron officiating. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne with Masonic Grave Rites conducted by Wayne Lodge #18 AF & AM. Bill was born July 12, 1935 at Stiltner, WV the son of the late Charlie and Ethel (Tabor) Frasher. He was self-employed and a retired heavy equipment operator. Bill was a member of Echo Baptist Church, loved his church family, and was happy to be a child of God. He enjoyed reading the Bible and keeping up with current events. Bill cherished the time he spent with his sons and their families. He was a member of Wayne Lodge #18 and was a 32 degree Scottish Rite of Free Masonry. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Rock Edward Frasher, brothers Frank and Carl Frasher, sister Charlie Mae Frasher Napier, brothers in law Otis Ross, Laural Finley, Charlie Finley and Bud Terry, sister in law Lois Finley and mother in law Marjorie Adkins Napier Tabor. Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years Norma Lee Napier Frasher, sons William Bryan Frasher (Traci) of Brentwood, Tennessee, Van Franklin Frasher (Kim) of Columbus, Ohio, sisters Stella Finley (Laural) of Wayne, West Virginia, Alta Lee Ross (Otis) of Hawthorne, Florida, Betty Jean Napier (JT) of Wintergarden, Florida, Ruby Finley (Charlie) of Marysville, Michigan, sister in laws Alma Frasher and Lucille Terry, brother in law Okey F. Napier (Jerry) and the loves of his life his grandchildren Kassandra Frasher, Cole Richard Frasher and William Maxwell Frasher. Also surviving him are two special nieces Diann Frasher and Judy Frasher Rakes and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Morris Funeral Home Chapel.
